Declan Jackson
PhD Candidate, University of York
Declan is a PhD scholar exploring pathways to organising and working regeneratively in the Department of Environment & Geography at the University of York. His project explores important themes like what it means to be regenerative, what regenerative practice looks like in the now, what work and practice could look like in a regenerative future and how we might organise to bring this about.
Declan possesses an MSc in Corporate Sustainability & Environmental Management from the University of York and a BSc (Hons) in Business Management from Anglia Ruskin. Declan has worked in many diverse roles, from construction to teaching, hospitality to consultancy and retail to research and will work with organisations throughout and beyond his PhD to bring about transformations towards regenerative practice.
Declan's motivations are personally driven. He aims to create positive impacts within life, research and practice to bring about greater happiness, health & wellbeing, social equity and environmental regeneration so that we might live within a safe and just operating space.
