Wisdom and innovation are needed to tackle the urgent planetary crises of our current ‘Anthropocene’ era. But the forms of knowledge and research we apply also need to profoundly and rapidly change if science is to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. We need a new science FOR the Anthropocene (‘S4A’), not just the existing science OF the Anthropocene.
